I turned 15 last night, and the celebration on my rooftop was amazing! The movie Charlie St. Cloud was great, and Zac Efron can't get any hotter or I'll die. Barbecue, Masquerade Photoshoot, and mostly just watching the city under us go by was excitingly chill. Thanks everyone for having so much fun with me!

Jasmine Darlene Hanley

I remember the first time we talked was during art class in 7th grade. You were admiring the hundreds of topless photos of Chace Crawford in my black iPod Classic.

Then, a year later, it was Spring Break 2009. It was the best Spring Break of my life, seriously. Besides watching The Devil Wears Prada together over the phone, going to the nightmarket with Dev, and pretending to be Jumby in the MS Lockers, the best thing that happened was us. We became friends.

It's something I never have and never will regret. You are one of the only people that I don't get into fights with often. You are the only person that never judges me for anything I do. Anything. No matter what. I know that when you go to boarding school, you will meet lots of new people and have lots of new best friends, but I sincerely hope I remain the only David Yu in you. Please remember all our promises together- NYU, Greek/NY Mansion, BF swapping, GBFFL- and I hope you will keep being who you are now because that's the Jasmine I will always love and want to be best friends for life with. It barely even feels like you're leaving; it's almost like you're on vacation only because I know that when you visit in December, our friendship will be equally as tight. That's how good of friends we are.

I don't want to keep going on and on about how much I miss you because I think that's pointless. Just know that I miss you a bunch and call me weird, but I don't want you to think about me when you go to Taft. Think about me once in a while, but I don't that to be your daily requirement. When you visit however, you need to channel yourself back to being the da juju for me. I hope all our jokes together will be more than a distant memory in the future. I want you to know that being your friend has made me realize how "germane" a "predicament" really is at times, and if that's worth being a bitch about.

Anyways, I will see you on the flipside.

the house bunny

i'm the house bunny. yep.

fine, this isn't a time to be joking around. so i just watched the house bunny on television and even though it's one of the most hilarious films i've ever watched, there's something really meaningful addressed in the story. i know this is the corniest shit ever, but "don't judge a book by its cover" is so true. you never know who you're with until you really get to know them. i think that's something i've achieved with most of my closest friends but i want to learn that about everyone and be the nicest bitch ever to people.

*update: SALT was amazing! i love angelina jolie, so, so much. and that movie talks about trusting people. you can never trust anyone completely. at all. you never know who you are dealing with, always keep that in mind, and also, always keep a part of you to yourself unless it's your life partner or something.
