Today me and some friends pulled an EPIC prank!
So after the final exam (so hard), my friends and I went to McDonald's. After eating there for like, 2 hours, we were bored to death so Ian and Perry decided to prank call people in Cantonese. Then, we started prank-calling people we knew, including Rene's mom, and things got kind of out of control. Kevin called Louis and told him I was at the Police Station for getting into a fight (wtf), and suddenly everyone around him knew.
All around, everyone's phones were ringing and people asked about what happened to me. I forgot my phone at home, and when I got home, I had 14 missed calls. This really means a lot to me because something fake like this that we pulled off could show who really cared about me. Thanks for all the "oh my god, are you okay?!"'s! And no, I did not get into a fight if that wasn't clear enough! Haha, sorry for all the people that got pulled into this! I know y'all think we're assholes, but none of us wanted this to get so serious! Love y'all!
*BTW, THE BACHELORETTE SEASON 6 IS OUT!

Experience Completely (un)Necessary
Not funny. Not funny at all gurrrl.

GURRRL TODAY I WANTED TO CUT SOMEONE! It all started out as a peaceful, sunny day - HAHA WTF AM I TALKING ABOUT, TODAY WAS FREAKING RAINING AND HUMID!!
Well, today after school, Jasmine, Nicole, and I went to the Shilin Nightmarket as a final shopping spree there since they're leaving next week (SAD!). The place was amazing! Mouth-watering "到地" (traditional) Taiwanese snacks and amazingly cheap azn clothes! Because I bought some stuff here (three shirts, one necklace), I ended up going from 1600 -> 150 NT. I had to go home early so I waved a taxi off the road and got on.

When I told him to go to Taipei American School, he said he didn't know where that was. I thought that was rather odd, but I told him the address anyway. After about 5 minutes, I realize that I've been going in criss-cross circles around the exact same area. Because I only had 150 to spend, I had to make sure he got there on time. Hence, I asked him as politely as possible, "Excuse me, do you know where you're going?"
In a bitchy tone, he answered "YES. CHUNG SHAN NORTH ROAD." Right then, my mom called and asked me where I was. I told her everything, including the money shortage, and she told me to get off at the nearest MRT Station, where she'd pick me up. I look to my right and right there was the Zhi-Shan MRT Station. I told the taxi driver to let me off there, but he continued going forward intentionally to miss the MRT Station, and then he asked me to repeat what I said. Kind of pissed, I told him to drop me off on the side of the road, but he insisted on taking me back to the MRT Station. There was a U-Turn-able road on the left where I KNEW YOU WERE ABLE TO U-TURN, but he took the right instead. I thought it would be a small little circle, but it was not even close. He went up a bridge that took around 5 minutes to drive without traffic, and when I got to the bottom of the bridge, it was already 145 NT. I immediately asked him to stop as I saw that the MRT Station was nowhere in sight, and I was dropped at a Gas Station. Turns out, the Gas Station was literally 100 meters away from the night market. You could only imagine how mad I was, and how mad my mother was about this. Now, why was my mom mad about this?
Well, it all goes a long way back, when she got into a fight with a taxi driver. A long time ago, she had asked a taxi driver to take her somewhere. After a while, she looked around, and they were nowhere near her destination. She asked, "Excuse me, where are you going?" She was replied by silence and only an acceleration in the taxi. She then yelled, "SIR I'M TALKING TO YOU. WHERE THE HELL ARE WE GOING." With yet another silent response, she started banging the windows and kicking the seats all around (comparable with me in my usual life) and yelled at him swear words that cussed his dead ancestors in mandarin. Then, she made him stop the car, threatening to call the cops, and got off without paying. This only adds to yet another reason why I admire my mother. From that day on, she had never taken another Taiwanese taxi ever. Yes, this is How you met my mother.
When I got on the car, my mother said, "Why would you ever do that? Why would you hand your life over to another stranger with a criminal record? (She said 95% of Taiwanese Taxi's are past-prisoners) What would you expect me to do if he dropped you up in the mountains? How do you expect me to live knowing that my son is abandoned somewhere, maybe raped, or maybe killed?" This really hit me. It only takes one wrong move in your life to fuck you up forever. I'm never going to take Taiwanese Taxi's anymore. I've never believed any of my mom's pessimistic view of Taiwanese Drivers, but this changed my whole perspective on the idea. It really only takes one person to mess up the reputation of a society. I'm writing this blog right now as a warning to y'all and hopefully you'll be more careful than I was today. The least you could do was call a Taxi Service. I remember my nanny used to always say to me, "Slow, but sure."

THE American Idol
Hey y'all,
In case any of you haven't heard, Lee Dewyze is this year's American Idol!
Honestly, I KNEW he was going to win! Frankly, it was obvious when it came top Top 3 of who was going to win. Lee clearly stood out as he always had something new and different to bring on stage.
1) He is soooooooo cute
2) His voice is amazing- and no, it's not the same with David Cook's!
3) He knows his stuff! He knew all the artists mentioned and mentoring on American Idol
4) His "Hallelujah" on Top 3 Week was simply amazing (watch here)
Watching American Idol has taught me a huge lesson. Looking at all those hundreds of thousands of people auditioning and a mere few hundred have made the first cut. After many eliminating rounds, they finally come down to the Top 24. Everyone excluding these 24 have been easily forgotten already. To make it up to the Top 24 takes huge talent, courage, and luck. It takes huge courage to audition for this, and maybe even pull a "Pants on the Ground" like General Larry did! It takes huge talent to get across Hollywood Week, when they had to work in groups and everything! Last of all, it takes luck when America votes for you. If you're as lucky as Katie Stevens (one of my favorites), you've got most of the votes from your school.
This reminds me about the fact that friends > grades. You can always depend on your friends to do you good in life, but when it comes down to grades, there are always people that are better than you. It's not about whether you had the highest GPA in your senior year or if you were ClassGov President in Freshman Year; it's how successful you are at the end. Luck plays a huge role in everyone's lives, and so far, it hasn't come my way yet. All in all, for all those people out there cramming for end-of-the-year exams, SCREW IT!
There are two types of students:
1) Students that listen in class
2) Students that don't listen in class
If you're a student that listens in class, then DON'T EVEN BOTHER STUDYING! You already know all that's going to be on the test!
If you're a student that doesn't listen in class, well, I'll ask you this: why are you studying right now? Either be a full-time student or don't even bother at all!
Ultimately, good luck on all your exams! Hopefully my parents won't kill me.
